"He's a great batter, and he's a great defender as well,"
"He's truly a player that has everything. He can hit, he can run, he can play defense, he's got it all."
Kyle Tucker signed a four-year, $240 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers in January, filling a major outfield need. Tucker broke out in 2021 with 30 home runs and 92 RBIs and earned All-Star selections every season since. He produced 20+ homers and at least 4.0 bWAR each year, won Silver Sluggers in 2023 and 2025, and received MVP votes in 2021–2023. Tucker hit 22 homers with a .841 OPS in 136 games during a 2025 season affected by a hairline hand fracture. He won a Gold Glove in 2022 and has generally strong defensive metrics. Manager Dave Roberts plans to bat Tucker second or third in 2026, creating a potent top-of-order pairing with Shohei Ohtani and improving the Dodgers’ chances to defend their title.
