Ryan Ward, a 28-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers prospect drafted in 2018, was optioned to Triple-A after spring training cuts ended his bid for the Opening Day roster. Ward had an exceptional 2025 season with Triple-A Oklahoma City, hitting 36 home runs and recording 122 RBIs to earn Pacific Coast League MVP honors. However, the Dodgers' signing of Kyle Tucker filled the outfield vacancy before Ward could compete for the position. During spring training, Ward struggled with a .156 batting average across 12 games. Despite limited opportunities, Ward remains focused on controlling what he can control and maintaining performance in the minors for potential call-ups throughout the season.
