Sasaki is bound by international bonus pool restrictions due to his age and service time, limiting the contract he can sign under current guidelines.
The Los Angeles Dodgers currently hold the top figure in the 2024 international signing period with $2,502,500 available for bonus pool allocation.
Negotiations are expected to begin next week, but Sasaki might wait until the 2025 international signing period opens on Jan. 15 to sign.
