With his latest achievements, Ohtani is on the verge of becoming the fastest player in MLB history to reach the 40-40 mark.
If Ohtani reaches 40 homers and 40 stolen bases, he will join an elite group of only six players to achieve this milestone.
Alfonso Soriano set the previous benchmark for reaching 40-40 with the Nationals in 2006, during Game 148, while the Dodgers are at Game 129.
