Legends Of Dodger Baseball Member Fernando Valenzuela Passes Away
Briefly

Stan Kasten, Dodgers president and CEO, stated, "On behalf of the Dodger organization, we profoundly mourn the passing of Fernando. He is one of the most influential Dodgers ever and belongs on the Mount Rushmore of franchise heroes. He galvanized the fan base with the Fernandomania season of 1981 and has remained close to our hearts ever since, not only as a player but also as a broadcaster. He has left us all too soon. Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Linda and his family."
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts expressed concern during the postseason, saying, "I don't know exactly what Fernando's going through health-wise. I know there's some things going on. All I know is that I consider him a friend, and I pray for his health. So I pray that his family is doing well through this time, but I don't know enough to really comment. I just pray that the whole Valenzuela family is doing well."
