Kiké Hernández showcased a nostalgic approach while filming the Dodgers' Tokyo Series on a vintage camcorder. He emphasized the overwhelming appreciation Japanese fans have for baseball, especially in light of Shohei Ohtani's popularity. Hernández drew parallels between the fervor of Japanese fans and the passionate baseball culture of Latin America. He also cherished personal moments during the trip, including his daughter's first experience with snow, emphasizing how these memories will last a lifetime for his family.
"Obviously the passion of the fans," answered Hernández when asked what memories he'll take from the Tokyo Series. "...kind of reminds me of playing baseball back home in Latin America."
"As far as memories, I think the most special one for me was my daughter seeing snow for the first time ever. We've built some incredible core memories," Hernández shared.
"I know that for my wife and myself, it's a trip we'll never forget. And I'm pretty sure my 4-year-old is never going to forget coming to Japan, going to Disney Sea..."
"Join me as I take the @PlayersTribune camcorder and show you a BTS of the #TokyoSeries! Adding filmmaker to the list of positions I've played in the big leagues!"
