Alex Vesia reported for Spring Training and spoke publicly for the first time since his daughter, Sterling Sol, died on Oct. 26, 2024. Vesia was absent from the Dodgers' 2025 World Series roster due to a deeply personal family matter related to the loss. The Dodgers chose not to place Vesia on the family emergency medical list or bereavement list to avoid imposing activation time constraints or pressure. Players from both clubs wore No. 51 on their hats in his support, and the Los Angeles Rams gifted a signed jersey. Vesia thanked supporters, requested privacy, and urged anyone struggling to seek help.
