The day started differently than most others with Shohei Ohtani addressing the media before the game rather than Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, as normally happens. Angels starter Reid Detmers turned in a strong outing, throwing five innings while giving up just three hits.
Logan O'Hoppe put the Angels on the board in second inning with a three-run homer off Stone, and they never looked back. Stone posted mixed results, throwing 4.1 innings while allowing four runs.
