Former Dodgers MVP Cody Bellinger Suffers Major Injury With Cubs
Briefly

Cody Bellinger, 28, was just starting to get going this season after his late start to the year. He was in the middle of an eight-game hitting streak but will now head to the injured list for what should be a long stay.
Bellinger ran into the outfield wall trying to rob a hit on Tuesday at Wrigley Field. Unfortunately, that wall is brick, and Bellinger got the worse end of it.
Bellinger was slashing .226/.320/.440 this year with five home runs and 17 RBIs. He was coming off a 2023 season where he won the National League Comeback Player of the Year award.
Bellinger signed a three-year, $80 million deal with the Cubs, with the flexibility to opt out after both years.
