The Dodgers are adding reliever____to their 40-man roster, reports Jon Heyman of the New York Post. The southpaw had triggered an opt-out clause in his minor league deal and would've returned to free agency if the Dodgers didn't put him on the 40-man.
Los Angeles will keep Gage in Triple-A Oklahoma City on optional assignment, Heyman adds.
