Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani 'Relieved' to Finally Surpass Hideki Matsui
Briefly

Ohtani surpassed Hideki Matsui as the MLB's record-holder for most home runs by a Japanese-born player with his 176th home run, giving the Dodgers a 2-0 lead.
"Honestly, I was just relieved I was able to just get it over with," Ohtani said after the game about breaking the record. "I was just happy I was able to do that."
"It was not something I was cognizant of when I first started my career," Ohtani mentioned about surpassing Matsui's record. "But as I've gotten to know where I was, yes."
Ohtani aims to break Dave Roberts' record as the Dodgers' franchise leader for home runs by a player born in Japan, only two homers away from achieving it.
