While his bat wasn't always great, he found other ways to contribute to the team. He showed major leadership for this Dodgers club and played great defense all year long.
The White Sox declined the option of their longtime shortstop Tim Anderson, and Rojas could be a cheap replacement for him.
LA may value having someone like Rojas on the roster for next season for injury situations, or simply as a cheap bench player.
