Tony Gonsolin of the Los Angeles Dodgers is set to start his rehab assignment with the Oklahoma City Comets while displaying a fresh buzz cut. This new hairstyle, a significant change from his traditional locks, was given by teammate Anthony Banda, who has a passion for barbering. Gonsolin, recovering from a back injury, aims for a return to the mound after missing the season's start, and his haircut reflects a new chapter in his career as he bonds with teammates during this process.
"It's like my ASMR," Banda said to MLB.com's Sonja Chen. "That's the reason why I fell in love with cutting hair. Same reason why people fall in love with drawing or knitting or whatever it may be."
Gonsolin, who is known for his love of cats and luscious locks, subtly showed Dodgers fans his new haircut on Ring Night last week. It was something that could have been easily missed, but Gonsolin no longer had his signature hairdo.
