Pretty quickly,' Ahmed said of how fast things came together. 'Got a call late last night and agreed to terms pretty quickly and decided to come, and pretty obvious choice. Just playing against these guys for a long time and knowing the opportunity to compete and win a championship is something I wanted to sign up for.'
Yeah, we didn't talk too much about that,' Ahmed said. 'Obviously things change all the time and I'm just here, going to focus one day at a time and try to help us win games.
Following his release from the Giants earlier this month, Ahmed spent the last couple of weeks training and staying prepared while at his home in Arizona while he waited for his ideal opportunity to join another organization.
'To go out and play baseball. Nothing more, nothing less,' Ahmed said.
