The Dodgers made a last-minute roster change for the NLDS, replacing Michael Grove with Ben Casparius due to Grove's shoulder injury, confirmed by MLB's medical director.
Manager Dave Roberts elaborated on Grove's condition, stating, 'There's a shoulder thing that he's been dealing with for quite some time. And so the recovery is not good.'
With Grove now sidelined, he won't be eligible to return for the National League Championship Series if the Dodgers advance, but could be considered for the World Series.
Grove, who struggled with injuries this season and had only one NLDS appearance, faced challenges including a right intercostal strain that limited his pitching.
