Dodgers' Miguel Rojas Compares Shohei Ohtani to Ronald Acuna Jr.
Briefly

Shohei Ohtani's BP today reminded Miguel Rojas of his Venezuelan winter ball teammate, Ronald Acuña Jr.The only difference: "Acuña was completely healthy. Imagine [Ohtani] when he's completely healthy & in midseason form. It's the first BP I've seen, and I'm already impressed." https://t.co/RAcMUrsuHe- Jack Harris (@ByJackHarris) February 14, 2024
In his final season with the Angels, Ohtani blasted 44 home runs, stole 20 bases and led qualified hitters with a 179 wRC+. Acuña became the first member of the 30-home run and 60-stolen base club and then turned himself into the founding member of the 40-home run and 70-stolen base club. His 41 homers and 73 stolen bases, plus 217 hits and 149 runs, are unheard of in any era. But if Rojas sees Acuña Jr. in an injured Ohtani, then who is left to compare with a healthy Ohtani?
