"That's something that I really wanted to get out there because, in 2020, we didn't get that parade. If there's even more incentive for winning the World Series in 2024, it's to have that parade. The way that the fans responded speaks to how passionate and how much they care about the Dodgers. It's L.A. It's about championships. I respect that."
"The fans definitely deserve it," Dodgers owner Mark Walter added Sunday, via Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times.
"I think it would be special no matter what. Having a parade here would be pretty cool." said Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw, reflecting the players' desire to celebrate with fans.
The city of Los Angeles missed out on two championship parades in 2020, with the Los Angeles Lakers also unable to hold a parade. The Los Angeles Rams did get the chance to hold a parade after they won the Super Bowl in 2022.
