"Given the time that he's been down, the potential build up, there's going to be a rehab assignment, he's got to get back on a mound," Roberts added of the process ahead. "So I just don't know what that looks like, but not surprising, for me, that it's taken longer than we initially thought."
"Not getting better," Roberts said. "He's just still not throwing free and easy. And when you're not, then you've got to kind of make some concessions and slow down the process. So that's kind of what it is."
"I think the coming days will be telling, so I don't think anyone can sit here today and say that," Roberts said. "Because if you play catch today, then great, and he does the same thing, yes. But if he doesn't, then it's probably a different answer."
