Dodgers Hire Farhan Zaidi in Front Office Role
Briefly

The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially hired Farhan Zaidi as a special advisor, as confirmed by The Athletic. Zaidi will also assist Dodgers owner Mark Walter with other sports franchises, including the Los Angeles Sparks and Chelsea FC. Previously, he served as the Dodgers' general manager from 2015 to 2018, contributing to the team’s success during that era, including two World Series appearances. After a stint with the San Francisco Giants, where he was recently fired, speculation arose about a possible return to the Dodgers, culminating in this new role.
In December, there was speculation Zaidi would return to the Dodgers front office after being fired by the San Francisco Giants.
With Zaidi in the front office, the Dodgers made their first World Series appearance in almost three decades.
Zaidi spent four seasons as the Dodgers' general manager from 2015-18 under president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman.
The Dodgers lost both the 2017 and 2018 World Series with Zaidi as general manager of the team.
