"Despite public declarations of expecting a modest offseason, the Los Angeles Dodgers made a splash by signing Edwin Díaz to a record-setting contract. All the while they have been connected to the likes of Bichette, Bellinger and Tucker. According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the Dodgers remain a potential landing spot for Tucker as his free agency continues to linger:"
"Last month it was reported the Dodgers had a preference of signing Tucker to a contract that was similar to Bregman's deal with the Boston Red Sox heading into the 2025 season. Bregman's contract with the Red Sox was only for three years and it included an opt-out clause after the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Bregman opted out of the deal after playing one year with the Red Sox and now is a free agent for the second consecutive offseason."
Several notable free agents remain available as Spring Training approaches, including Bo Bichette, Kyle Tucker, Cody Bellinger, Alex Bregman, Eugenio Suárez and Framber Valdez. The Los Angeles Dodgers signed Edwin Díaz to a record contract while maintaining connections to Bichette, Bellinger and Tucker. The Dodgers are a possible landing spot for Tucker and remain among teams linked to Bellinger. The organization reportedly prefers a Tucker deal structured similarly to Bregman’s recent three-year Red Sox contract with opt-outs. Bregman opted out after one year and is a free agent. Signing Bellinger could be complicated by his prior non-tender by the Dodgers.
