Dodgers Designate Cavan Biggio For Assignment
Briefly

The Dodgers announced they have designated Cavan Biggio for assignment to make room for Freddie Freeman, who was activated from the family emergency list Monday.
Freeman's son, Maximus, was hospitalized July 26, while the Dodgers visited the Astros in Houston, Texas. Freeman did not return for 10 days, but is in the lineup Monday night against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Biggio had been the Dodgers' primary first baseman, playing 30 games after being acquired in a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays, slashing .192/.306/.329 and rotating through four positions.
Cavan Biggio, son of Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, had spent his career with Toronto before the trade. He was a fifth-round pick from the University of Notre Dame in 2016 draft.
