The Dodgers are calling up Cuban OF/INF Miguel Vargas (24), per sources. No word yet on whether he will be activated today or what the official move will be.
Internally, Dodgers evaluators have been impressed with Vargas' more consistent approach and better sense of self at the plate. Vargas is hitting .295 with eight home runs and a team-leading 38 RBIs for the Dodgers' top farm team.
