Dixon runs opener without radio communication
Briefly

Scott Dixon experienced a major communication failure during the IndyCar season opener in St. Petersburg, ultimately costing him what could have been his first career victory. Having run the entire race without radio contact, Dixon's strategy suffered as he mismanaged his pit stop timing. Team owner Chip Ganassi speculated that the lack of communication directly prevented Dixon from winning, emphasizing the significance of consistent communication in racing. Dixon expressed frustration, highlighting missed opportunities due to the communication issues during the race.
If everything was 100% he would have won -- it was simple. He would have won the race. The race was over.
I'm pretty pissed off. We had a good race going and we didn't get it done, so it doesn't feel good, that's for sure.
Ultimately I think for me, it was just one lap too long. I should have pitted maybe when I saw (Palou) coming in.
With not (pitting) when I should have, I think, with about maybe the same lap as Alex. We caught that traffic with about five or six cars and lost about two or three seconds.
