Diamondbacks Pitcher on Dodgers: 'We Can Beat Those Guys'
Briefly

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts emphasized the challenges ahead in his inaugural spring speech, acknowledging that teams will strive to outperform the defending champions. He highlighted the importance of mental preparation and consistent performance throughout the season, asserting that opponents will bring their best efforts against the Dodgers. Third baseman Max Muncy and Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Kevin Ginkel echoed this sentiment, stressing the need for the team to improve daily amidst heightened expectations. The Dodgers head into the season as favorites in a competitive division, promising intense matchups ahead.
There's an understanding of what we've done, who we are, knowing that people are going to come after us with their best each and every night of baseball, and stressing more the mental part of it, the grind, how we do things, versus outside expectations and things like that.
Teams are going to be out to get us, especially because of what our front office and ownership did in the offseason. There's going to be a target on our back, and we have to show up day in, day out, improve every single day in any way that we can.
When the lights are on and we play those big games in the middle of season, they're going to give us their A game, we're going to try and give ours. But we can beat those guys.
