"It was very challenging, probably one of the tougher things I've had to do," Roberts said regarding the decision to part ways with Heyward.
"What Jason did for the Dodgers in a year and a half was pretty remarkable, on the field, in the clubhouse, in the community, and his fingerprint will be everlasting," Roberts expressed.
"It was a very difficult decision, but we had a roster crunch," Roberts acknowledged, indicating the factors that led to Heyward's designation.
"I think it's one of those things where C.T. was ready to come back, and you're trying to appreciate the fact that he's not hurt anymore," Roberts explained.
