The Los Angeles Chargers have officially welcomed Arctos as a limited partner following NFL owners' approval of the sale that transferred 8% of the team's shares to the private equity firm. Despite the new partnership, the Spanos family will retain most of the control with 61% ownership. This sale comes as part of a broader trend in the NFL where private equity ownership is becoming more prevalent. The Chargers have recently seen changes in ownership dynamics, especially after Detroit Pistons owner Tom Gores acquired a 27% stake last year.
