Tony Gonsolin, an All-Star pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, participated in the Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour by reading to children at the El Nido Family Center in Pacoima. He shared a story from his chosen cat-themed book, expressing his commitment to community engagement and literacy. Alongside him was Dodgers broadcaster Luis Cruz, who assisted at the event and engaged in various activities with children. Additionally, a $10,000 donation was made to the center to support literacy initiatives and plans for an exclusive game outing for participants.
Realizing how much of a finite time I have playing, so being able to actually use my platform and be in the community of Los Angeles.
Literacy is a huge piece of what our values are, and it's a great way for us and all of our staff to give back to the community.
