"Sports can certainly provide an escape and a distraction... Hopefully sports tonight can provide some joy as well," said Lakers coach JJ Redick, who lost his home during the fires.
"This night is dedicated to first responders and the community," said the Lakers and Clippers as they honored those affected by the wildfires during their games.
With more than 90,000 displaced and at least 24 fatalities due to the wildfires, sports teams aim to uplift the community through their events.
The Rams dominated the playoff game against the Vikings, showing support for those affected by fires while engaging fans who traveled from LA to Arizona.
