In a thrilling display of strategy and endurance, Juan Ayuso of UAE Team Emirates-XRG claimed victory in the Faun Drôme Classic. Following a daring 40km solo attack, he outlasted his closest competitor, Mattias Skjelmose, finishing 23 seconds ahead. The 189km race included challenging climbs and a significant crash that took out several riders. The decisive moment occurred on the Col de la Grande Limite, where Ayuso made his move, while Skjelmose unsuccessfully attempted to bridge the gap. Ben Tulett led the peloton a further 1’15” behind, securing a podium spot after a sprint.
