Itzulia Women 2024 route
Briefly

The third edition will include nine categorised mountain passes - one category 1, two category 2, and six category 3 - for a challenging event suited to the best climbers in the Women's WorldTour.
Stage 1 features the longest route and highest elevation gain. The key climb is the category 1 ascent of Olaeta, offering a chance for a breakaway. The finish in Elgoibar is a continuous false flat.
Stage 2 is expected to be the most nervous, with a figure-eight-shaped loop including categorised ascents and punchy climbs at the finish. Contenders must stay well-positioned to compete.
Stage 3 mimics the Classica San Sebastian, with decisive climbs like Jaizkibel and Mendizorrotz. Last year witnessed a shattered peloton and late solo victory by Marlen Reusser.
