One mistake people make when packing is using a regular cardboard box for a box that won't get opened for a while," says Nicole Gabai, founder of B. Organized. "If your box has something fabric in it, and it will be going in the garage for a while, don't use a cardboard box. Plastic totes with rubber gasket seals are ideal for things that need protection from air and moisture."
