The latest installment in the franchise, Black Ops 6, aims to evolve this popular method by introducing a new way for players to channel their inner dolphin.
What caught a lot of people's attention was how players can now Dolphin Dive out of the water and use omnimovement to their advantage to create a Max Payne-like action sequences.
For those unaware of 'dolphin diving', it's when players launch themselves forward, and once they land, they are immediately prone, resembling dolphins in motion.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25, but players can try it out early thanks to the beta set to begin on August 30.
