FACT and Sky delivered enforcement notices to 15 shops across Kerry, Louth, Laois, Mayo, Donegal, Kilkenny, Wexford, Meath and Cavan for involvement in illegal TV streaming. Targeted sellers were identified as selling subscriptions to illegal streaming services, supplying devices configured to access them, and referring customers to resellers through phone numbers or advertising. The action is the first direct enforcement against retail outlets in recognition of their increasing role in street-level proliferation of illegal streaming. A prior High Court judgment ordered a "dodgy box" operator to pay €480,000 in damages to Sky. FACT and Sky commit to continued disruption of the supply chain.
