A 22-second clip shows a woman holding her Ring doorbell camera indoors while a stranger's voice laughs and says "I see you." The camera had been taken inside to charge, and the voice repeated the phrase before the audio cut out. The video has received over 11 million views and thousands of alarmed comments from other doorbell camera users. Two intrusion methods exist: directly hacking the device, which is difficult, or accessing the account by guessing the password, which is easier when multi-factor authentication is not enabled. Users should set strong, unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication.
