At least 61 fatalities, including 19 soldiers, were reported due to the attacks claimed by the Baluchistan Liberation Army, marking some of the worst violence in the region’s history. The militancy has been fueled by deep-rooted resentment towards foreign involvement, notably from China, which is perceived as taking advantage of Baluchistan's resources without adequate benefits to the local population.
