Network pros are wasting half of their time on tasks that could be automated

According to a recent report from Skybox Security, network professionals are losing nearly half of their week to manual tasks that could easily be automated, drastically affecting their efficiency.

Skybox found that nearly 40% of respondents said half of their workweek is consumed by firewall management and network provisioning, preventing them from focusing on more critical tasks.

The report indicates that larger organizations, particularly those with over 10,000 employees, spend an alarming 12% of their time each month remediating misconfigurations, highlighting the scale of this issue.

A striking 90% of network managers expressed concerns about failing compliance audits due to misconfigurations, with 69% admitting to having multiple compliance issues identified during external audits.
