Museums' security guards threaten strike action
Briefly

Security guards at London’s museums are threatening to strike due to a pay offer described as disrespectful, with demands rising from £11.95 to £16 an hour.
The United Voices of the World union argues that the latest pay offer of £13.15 is insufficient, as it falls below last year’s inflation rate, leaving workers demoralized.
Catherine Campbell, a security guard, expressed her frustration: 'I feel demoralized and sad that I've not had a proper pay rise... this level of responsibility should be reflected in my salary.'
General secretary Petros Elia highlighted that many guards are migrant workers and should not be the lowest paid at the museums, calling for the outsourcing of security services to end.
