MSP security confidence remains high despite rising breaches, research finds

A recent survey by CyberSmart, which queried 900 Managed Service Provider (MSP) leaders across several countries, revealed that 69% experienced multiple security breaches in the past year, with 47% encountering three or more attacks. Nevertheless, 76% expressed confidence in their security posture, with 96% rating their assurance as average or higher. Despite confidence, 80% acknowledged improvement is necessary, particularly regarding compliance with upcoming regulations like NIS2. MSPs identified continuous monitoring and employee training as essential focuses for enhancing cybersecurity strategies moving forward.
