Those defendants were served with the injunction via email and online means. Qantas obtained a preliminary injunction barring publication of customer data stolen in a cyberattack and served the unknown defendants via email and online means. ShinyHunters and Scattered Spider claimed responsibility and publicly stated they would not be deterred by the injunction. The threat actors later published court files via a Telegram channel, which was banned but likely already distributed. Scattered LAPSUS$ Hunters launched a leak site threatening Salesforce and listing 39 targets, including Qantas, and claimed 153 GB and over 5 million records containing names, emails, phones, addresses, dates of birth and frequent flyer numbers. Sample personally identifiable data was provided on the leak site.
