Hackers are using fake Facebook ads to steal bank account details
Briefly

Cyber expert Justin Poli discovered a phishing ad posing as a 'sponsored' Google link for Facebook, allowing bad actors to access sensitive information like email, banking passwords, and computer files.
'My first reaction was, how does Google ever allow this to happen? They should not allow ads to be posted that link to phishing sites,' Poli said.
The phishing scam, also known as malvertising, fools Google into thinking the link is real, enabling scammers to customize URLs and bypass detection.
Despite being short-lived due to expense and reporting, new phishing ads quickly replace old ones, challenging users and monitoring systems.
