Employee phishing training is working - but don't get complacent
Briefly

Research from KnowBe4 highlights that increased training against phishing attacks leads to significant increases in awareness and resilience among employees. The study reveals that the Phish-prone Percentage (PPP) can drop from approximately 33% globally to just 4.8% after 12 months of training. Larger enterprises showed the largest improvements, especially in North America and South America, where 90% and 89% respectively reduced their PPP. Meanwhile, smaller firms in Asia and the UK and Ireland displayed greater caution regarding phishing attempts, indicating a variance in vulnerability based on organization size and region.
Increased phishing training significantly reduces the risk of phishing attacks in enterprises, with larger organizations showing the most improvement in resilience over time.
KnowBe4's research indicates that with effective training, organizations can cut their Phish-prone Percentage (PPP) from a third to 4.8% in one year.
