Argentina's Federal Police dismantled an 'Islamist terrorist organization' planning an attack against the Jewish community, arresting seven members and committing resources to eliminate future threats.
The investigation began after threats against a Jewish journalist led authorities to discover an organization utilizing messaging apps to plan their attack and spread extremist ideology.
Security Minister Patricia Bullrich emphasized a zero-tolerance policy, stating: 'We are going to get rid of each and every one of these criminals who intend to sow fear among Argentinians.'
This organization was using Telegram and Whatsapp to coordinate their plans and disseminate propaganda from extremist groups like ISIS and the Taliban, highlighting a serious threat to national security.
