In July, Allianz Life experienced a data breach that compromised the personal information of around 1.1 million customers. Information stolen includes names, gender, birth dates, emails, addresses, and phone numbers. Social Security numbers were also reportedly taken. The breach was linked to a group called ShinyHunters, known for targeting corporations, who may attempt extortion through a data leak site.

The breach includes customers' names, gender, date of birth, email and home addresses, and phone numbers from a database hosted by cloud giant Salesforce.
