Wagner Moura, a 49-year-old Brazilian actor living in Los Angeles with his family, stars in The Secret Agent, directed by Kleber Mendonca Filho. The thriller portrays the cruelty of Brazil's 1970s dictatorship while exploring resistance against injustice and memory preservation. Moura and Mendonca Filho first met at Cannes in 2005 and reconnected during Bolsonaro's political rise, becoming close collaborators on political art. Both faced censorship challenges during this period, strengthening their creative partnership on this significant film.
