Jordan Peele's film 'Us' is being celebrated at a festival called "The Other America: A Cosmology of Jordan Peele's 'Us,'" from June 20 to 26 by Film at Lincoln Center. The festival aims to honor the film's depth through thematic sections inspired by its motifs. It includes screenings of Peele's acclaimed work, a 35mm opening night presentation, and highlights his influences in cinematics. In conjunction with the festival, an annotated screenplay explores the film's complex layers, featuring participations from scholars of cinema and literature.
Peele's nods to "Dead Ringers," "Scissors," "Donnie Darko," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," and "A Nightmare on Elm Street" are highlighted during the festival.
The festival will also kick off with a never-before-seen 35mm presentation of "Us" courtesy of auteur Peele's personal collection.
