The hoard symbolises a pivotal moment in English history and we are delighted to have made this acquisition so that it may be enjoyed by generations to come, highlights Sam Astill.
Its permanent home will be at the Museum of Somerset after an initial display at the British Museum, marking the importance of the treasure in showcasing our heritage.
