The Morgan Library & Museum has promoted Dr. Joshua O'Driscoll to Melvin R. Seiden Curator and Department Head of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts. O'Driscoll, who joined the Morgan in 2015 as Assistant Curator and advanced to Associate Curator in 2022, will oversee the institution's renowned collection of illuminated manuscripts spanning the fifth through sixteenth centuries. His vision emphasizes expanded public engagement, digital accessibility, and strategic partnerships to reach broader audiences. O'Driscoll is currently co-curating the upcoming exhibition Tarot! Renaissance Symbols, Modern Visions and has contributed to previous exhibitions including Sing a New Song and The Book of Marvels. He holds degrees from Florida State University, Williams College, and Harvard University, with research experience at prestigious institutions including the Bode Museum, British Library, and Harvard's Houghton Library.
