Brain and skin remains found in Bronze Age burials
Briefly

The excavation at Tavsanl Mound has uncovered the oldest known remnants of skin in Turkey, dating back 3,700 years, providing valuable insights into ancient life.
Professor Erkan Fidan noted that the mound was likely the capital during the Bronze Age, and a large-scale fire preserved remnants of soft tissues.
Dating back 8,000 years, Tavsanl Mound transitioned from small villages to a major urban center, illustrating significant historical development in western Anatolia.
Excavations started in 2021 are expected to continue for three decades, which will aid in uncovering the rich history of this ancient settlement.
