Roberto Tessari, a retired firefighter, found a Roman funerary marker while searching for wild asparagus after heavy rains. He discovered a rectangular stone slab with a funerary inscription at a canal's edge. Knowing its significance, he reported the find to the Superintendency of Archaeology and enlisted fellow firefighters to retrieve it. The slab, dating to the 2nd century A.D., measures 45 cm wide and features an intact inscription in excellent condition, showcasing expertly carved Latin letters.
