Newman was attempting to question E. Gordan Gee, a two-time former OSU president and an invited speaker to Perez's Profiles in American Leadership class."
"The attack was caught on video by D.J. Byrne, author of the local left-wing newsletter The Rooster, after Byrne and Newman intercepted Gee coming out of a public restroom. The encounter occurred after a calm exchange between Gee and Byrne, when Newman said he wanted to ask "just one more" question."
